Brunswick Stew

Brothers, our 9th annual Brunswick Stew Fundraiser is scheduled for February 12th and 13th, 2021.

We will need many hands over the 2 days to prep, cook, package and deliver our Stew. Here are the

times of the various needs:

Friday February 12th

5:00PM - 8:00PM - Food preparation - many potatoes and onions to peal and dice

8:00PM - 2:00AM - Cooking - stirring the pot, stoking the fire

Saturday February 13th

2:00am - 4:00AM - Packaging - get it ready for the customers

7:00AM - 8:00AM - Clean-up - cleaning the pots and Scout hut

You can sign-up for any or all of the above by going to our Sign-up Genius (coming December 2020).

We also need brothers to sell tickets for the Stew. Please contact Sehwatu Stew Chair to get your tickets in December.

We are planning to pre-sell 300 tickets next year.

Brothers, our 8th annual Brunswick Stew Fundraiser (2020) was a huge success. We produced 322 quarts

of stew in 2 pots and raised money that will help support our various Chapter events.

We had tremendous help again this year. We pulled apart chicken, peeled and chopped onions,

and peeled and diced potatoes during our prep party. We had some pulled pork, baked beans

and chips for dinner. Then we cooked the 2 pots of stew Friday evening into Saturday morning

and were done with packaging those pots by 3:30am.

We would like to recognize a few who stood out with their efforts:

- Mark Chapman, Joe Craddock and Ben Yarborough as our top sellers

- Liam Walsh for serving as our youth chair for the Brunswick Stew event

- The following individuals who stayed up all night stirring the 2 pots of Stew and had

a great night of fellowship working together, and playing some games):

of stew in 3 pots and raised money that will help support our various Chapter events.

We had tremendous help again this year. We prepped and cooked 1 pot during the day Friday

(a big thank you to Mark Chapman, Bob Coughlin, Joe Craddock, Ken Daniels, and Susan Garner)

and then the other 2 pots Friday evening into Saturday morning and were done with packaging those

pots and by 3:30am.

We would like to recognize a few who stood out with their efforts:

- Mark Chapman and Bob/Braeden Coughlin as our top sellers of 60 and 40 quarts of Sehwastew respectively

- Tyler Smith for serving as our youth chair for the Brunswick Stew event

- The following individuals who stayed up all night stirring the 2 pots of Stew and had

a great night of fellowship working together, watching several movies, and playing some games):

overnight. We prepped and cooked 2 pots during the day (a big thank you to Mark Chapman, Bob Coughlin,

Joe Craddock, Ken Daniels, Casey Smith and Ben Yarborough) and then the third pot Friday evening into

Saturday morning and were done with packaging that pot and cleanup by 3:30am.
